The Creation by Joseph Haydn

Our fourth concert with Gordon Johnston, conductor, featured the Choir of St John the Evangelist.

Solos for Strings

Our third concert in the early spring was “Solos for Strings” with works by Stamitz, Elgar, Purcell, Casals, Ridout, and Holzbauer.

Thomas Annand, our guest conductor, will be joined by feature guest soloists Guylaine Lemaire, viola, and Julian Armour , cello.

Guylaine will perform Ballade for Viola and Strings (Godfrey Ridout), and Julian will perform Song of the Birds (Pablo Casals). Julian and Guylaine will perform togehter the Concerto for Viola, Cello and String Orchestra (Ignaz Holzbauer).

Christmas Concert

Our second concert will be a Christmas Concert with the Bach Magnificat plus Music for Christmas with Gordon Johnston, conductor, and the Choirs of St John’s and St Paul’s Anglican Church.

Our first concert was a benefit concert for St Joe’s Supper Table. Thomas Annand will be our guest conductor and Michel Rondeau, trumpet, will be our guest soloist.
