Solos for Strings

Our third concert in the early spring will be “Solos for Strings” with works by Stamitz, Elgar, Purcell, Casals, Ridout, and Holzbauer.

Thomas Annand, our guest conductor, will be joined by feature guest soloists Guylaine Lemaire, viola, and Julian Armour , cello.

Guylaine will perform Ballade for Viola and Strings (Godfrey Ridout), and Julian will perform Song of the Birds (Pablo Casals). Julian and Guylaine will perform togehter the Concerto for Viola, Cello and String Orchestra (Ignaz Holzbauer).
